Welcome to Neighbor In Need
Neighbor in Need has been serving the 19067 Bucks County community and the Pennsbury School District since its founding in 2017 by Liz Kearney and Wendy Jacobson-Simon.
In 2019, NIN registered as a Domestic Nonprofit corporation (nonprofit community group) in the state of PA.
Its mission is to help people within our community who need short-term support. Our members are local residents that have come together to help people in need in our 19067 Bucks County community.
NIN is able to provide to their community by:
- Directly soliciting donations, in kind donations, gift cards from its members.
- Partnering with area business, religious institutions, and service organizations.
- Partnering with Pennsbury School District social workers who identify students in need.

People and Families We've Helped
"OMG! Tears of appreciation for what you have done for my friends. There are no words to describe the gratitude for the amount of food I picked up to bring them tonight.
Thank you isn't enough!"
These last few weeks have been hard and this week has been extra harsh for this family... The weight you have lifted for them and for me is beyond words.
Dear Liz and the neighbor in need family,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
"We are all in this together"
Thank you Kathryn DaCosta Hulin for getting all of the food / grocery cards / Wawa cards to the family and taking the lead on this family.
I wanted to send you a huge thank you. Words cannot express how grateful my family is for your generosity and kindness .
"You guys have been beyond generous, truly. Tuesday is plenty. You have spoiled us with gift cards and a kindness beyond measure. We are humbled and appreciative. I can't wait to get well so I can help be an angel or give back in some way . I want to be a part of helping someone as you have helped my family. I would not be getting stronger if it wasn't for you and NIN."
"So thankful for one of our team members noticing the need of a single mom in the community and directing her to NIN. Our team was able to quickly assess the situation and together with your donations and help we were able to help this family out."
"Again thank you so much I truly appreciate it. Such a weight has been lifted off my chest from what you have been able to offer me, it's just amazing how a neighborhood can help fellow neighbors.
Wow, is all I can say! I am speechless, Please thank everyone that is involved. I did leave the queen size mattress pad because my sister did have an extra one and I would rather have it go to someone else that could use it.
I feel very, great full, blessed and loved today 🥰 Thank you again.
Thank you Elizabeth Kearney. Wendy Jacobson Simon. Louise Lydon Doucette. Jenae Travia and all our donors who make this happen.
Thank you to Vince's Pizza for feeding the family. Please continue to support your local restaurants."
"Hi Elizabeth. I just received a bag of gift cards from NIN and I'm so overwhelmed by the generosity that I don't even know how to begin to thank you. It's been a hard 16 months. Last week I thought I was finally through the worst of my medical situations. After 6 surgeries I was finally starting to feel like I might be getting my life back and would be able to get back to work and "normal" after losing my job due to Covid. Then last Wednesday, one week after my 2nd hip replacement, my worst crisis when I had a horrible fall down the stairs and fractured my femur in 3 places. Needless to say, life has been turned upside down once again and I am confined to bed for 6 weeks before I can even try to put any weight on it. We are overwhelmed and so thankful for everything NIN has done as we work our way through this situation. Thank you again for the bottom of my heart."
"Thank you NIN and everyone who volunteered with help for my friend and her family during their time of need! I am so happy to be a part of such a caring group of people! At first I hesitated whether to reach out or not but seeing how much it helped and comforted my friend I am grateful I did! I will pay it forward whenever I can
Thank you Neighbor In Need!"
